Master Planning IN area c

Wednesday, July 22 @ 1:00 PM EST

A meeting DURING WHICH WE WILL LEARN ABOUT the current status of planning palestinian communities in Area C and implications on US foreign policy

The current planning regime in the rural part of the West Bank makes it almost impossible for Palestinians living there to carry out any planned development. Because the Israeli Civil Administration oversees the planning and permitting process within Area C, building permits are rarely issued and thus, entire villages are often threatened by demolition order. We are inviting UN Habitat, along with Israeli and Palestinian planning and design groups, to share their knowledge of the impacts the occupation has on planning rights in Area C, and what the US can do about it.
